IN THE LAVENDER FIELDS

What You Need to Know

  • During public visiting hours, visitors are allowed to take pictures of family and friends to remember the day. These photos are allowed for selfies or amateur photography only. No drone or for profit photography permitted during public hours.

  • Choosing a date during the bloom - Laveanne can not guarantee the quality or timing of the bloom dates. The bloom is short, and the best time is usually between the 2nd- 3rd week of July to see the most intense colour. Rough estimate of bloom dates

    July 1st to 9th, dark purple buds, starting to open

    July 10th to 16th, opening buds to full bloom.

    July 17th to 25th, full bloom to starting to fade.

    July 26th to 31st, fading flowers of English lavender and full bloom of the lavadins.

    Just to give you an idea, the first week of July the fields are a beautiful deep dark purple bud and the flowers are just starting to open and there are no Honeybees yet. Then there is a two week  blast of intense colour, with pollinators, during the 2nd and 3rd week of July. After the third week the fields change colour again  and the fields go back to a deep dark purple as the flowers close up again and start to fade.

After we close the fields to the public we open our gates to professional and amateur photographers. Offering our unique setting as a backdrop for engagement, wedding, family and mini-session semi private bookings. With a limited number of time blocks available for July 2024 lavender bloom season, please review our photo policy and make a booking request by  submitting inquiries on our Photo Permit Application. 

For Non-Public Hours Lavender Field Photography

  • A semi-private photo permit (for non-public hours only) means you share the fields with 2 other photographers with a possible additional photographer because of rain day re-schedule*.

  • A semi-private photo permit (for non-public hours only) is required for each photographer or videographer.

  • A full field photo permit (giving you exclusive use of our fields, for non-public hours only) is required for any drone, large prop, group of photographers or boudoir photos. (details require our prior consent)

  • No pets allowed.

  • No picking lavender flowers.

  • Photographers and clients must comply with field etiquette* (*see photo policy)

Photo Booking Availability This 2024 Season

  • Times are available for both morning 5:30 - 8:30am and evening 5:30 - 8:30pm everyday from Friday, July 12th to Sunday, July 21st.

  • Each photo permit is for a one hour block, each block is $100 + tax.

  • Special offer; book a full three hour, single evening, block for only $250.

  • Booking 2 or more 1 hour blocks will entitle a photographer to a free contact listing on our "Photographer for Hire" website page for individuals seeking a photographer.*

  • Photographers who do not qualify for the free listing can opt to purchase the listing for $20.00 + tax.
