• Position title— Field maintenance assistant 

• Job description— This position is a seasonal position, evolving all aspects of growing lavender in Canada. The position starts at the beginning of May and goes to the end of October. The maintenance schedule outlined on our “ Our Story ” page will give you an idea of the work that is required and estimated time of when the work should be done.

• Qualifications— An individual who has the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in many mediums: by email, verbally, with lists and phone messages, and on the phone. As well as listening skills and the ability to follow directions and provide feedback.

• An individual who is honest and can communicate accurate and timely information regarding our business and our employees. An individual who can be trusted to represent the company in public. An individual who will not cover it up, can admit to a mistake and learn not to do it again.

• An individual with good work ethics, arriving at work on time, doing what they were hired to do, meet targets and deadlines and work to the best of your ability. 

• An individual who likes being outside and comes to work prepared with proper sun protection, comfortable working clothes for the job and season. As well as being flexible and can react quickly to changing working conditions. We do not work in the fields on rain days and flexibility to come to work on another, not scheduled, the day would be appreciated.

• An individual who can work by themselves or who can work with others effectively in different circumstances. 

• An individual with an interest in learning, and a willingness to pass it on to others. As well as to be motivated to take on challenges with minimal direction.
