LAVENDER HARVEST FESTIVAL
The bloom is over and now our work begins. Although the fields are still showing colour , it is time to harvest for our essential oil distillation. The harvest is done mechanically, removing the top 4 inches of flower heads. The flower heads need to be dried for a few days before they can be processed into our essential oil. The distillation processes it self takes roughly an hour, although it takes many distillation to make a sufficient supply. Each distillation produces a precious 68-75 ml of oil (1/4 -1/3 of a cup of oil).
Watch us distill our essential oil, we will be distilling several batch throughout the day. Take part in our craft workshops, or enjoy visiting the vendor in our "Artisan Market Place".
Join Michele Gillespie for an aromatherapy workshop. Michele works for dōTerra® and has extensive knowledge on Aromatherapy.
